For your viewing pleasure is this rare 1970s Ludwig Jazzette outfit in even more rare green sparkle. While the wrap is completely original on these drums, the floor tom was added to the 18 and 12, which were originally together. The 12"x18" and 8"x12" are three ply drums with clear maple interiors, and pointy blue and olive badges. The 14"X14" is a 6 ply drum with clear maple interior and a rounded blue and olive badge. You will notice that there are rivets at the seam of the 14x14. This is original and was done at the Ludwig factory during a period of time from 1979 - 1980 when Ludwig was having issues with their glue. This is verifiable, and is a known fact amongst Ludwig enthusiast. The wrap on the 18" and 12" matches perfectly, the wrap on the 14" is slightly darker. Original green sparkle wrap is known for fading and getting lighter in areas, all three of these drums have excellent unfaded green sparkle wrap. As can be seen in the pics, there is a slight seam lift on the bass drum which can be glued back down. There are a few light scratches here and there, and some honest normal handling wear, but they are in overall great condition and look amazing set up. Aside from 5 replacement tension rods on the 12" tom, these drums are all original with no extra holes or modifications. Original green sparkle Jazzette drums are truly rare, and very scarcely become available. If you've been dreaming of finding one, don't hesitate.
