For your supreme viewing pleasure is this gorgeous vintage catalog correct 1961 Ludwig Hollywood outfit in vibrant original Black Diamond Pearl with the original Jazz Festival snare drum. This set is in beautiful condition with one small cigarette burn on the top of the bass drum, shown in the pics. The toms and snare are all white interior and the bass drum is natural, which is typical of the early '60s era. All of the drums have an internal ink stamp of JUN 16 1961 and the pre-serial keystone badges are nice and tight. There are no extra holes or modifications, and the bearing edges are true and original. All of the drums have original small dial muffler, tension rods and washers, and original chrome over brass hoops. The bass drum hoops have been touched up and look great. Some of the chrome over brass hoops have a bit of pitting. There are still nice original Ludwig "Playon Plastic" heads on both sides of one of the 12" toms, batter side of the other 12" tom, and batter side of the bass drum. The other heads are changed, including a nice Ludwig Weathermaster batter side on the snare Ludwig front logo bass head. Most importantly, this set tunes up wonderfully and is an absolute pleasure to play and view. Enjoy!
