Drugan's Drums and guitars are proud to be the first (and currently only) dealer and distributor of Kumu drums in the U.S. They are from Finland, and are truly an artisan drum company with amazing craftsmanship and forward thinking designs and elements. They are also one of the few drum companies that produce their own proprietary shells in-house.
For your supreme viewing pleasure is this breathtakingly gorgeous Kumu All Birch Custom drum set made by the artisan master drum builders of Kumu Drums in Finland. The toms are constructed of all 100% hand made 3.8mm 4 ply Finish Birch shells with Kumu's "SoulRings", and the bass drum is constructed of 5mm 5 ply Finish Birch with "SoulRings", and the snare is their proprietary 66S shell, which is a 6 ply / 6mm birch drum. The snare also has an amazing strainer which sets the wires at four different tensions (including off). All of the shells interiors were finished off with Kumu's special black coating for superior projection. The lugs are their unique "D lug" design which uniquely shares the Seafoam finish of the set.
The sonorous sound of this set has to be heard to be appreciated. It has a deep and pure fundamental with a crisp and woody articulation. They are just as much at home in the recording studio as they are on any stage.
The look of the the one-off Seafoam finish was created using Seafoam green and areas of white, which give the look of cresting waves in the sea, and is absolutely breathtaking. It was done as a NAMM show piece, and what a show piece it is.
