The original chrome over brass hoops and lugs have some pinpoint pitting. The #976 Super Strainer, (or clam shell, as it is often times referred), operates perfectly and displays some chrome loss. The snare wires have been replaced with high quality Puresounds and are in excellent condition. The double padded No. 1080 tone control also operates smoothly.  \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThere are no extra holes or modifications of any kind. It tunes up wonderfully, and produces the gorgeous sonic signature that can only come from a Slingerland snare of this vintage that's wood has seasoned for over 65 years.
