For your viewing pleasure is this vintage Leedy 8x14 Broadway Swingster Parallel solid mahogany shell (single ply) snare drum from March of 1937 (internal date stamp 3703). The original wrap looks great but has bubbled in some spots which is common. It's not that noticeable due to the pattern of the Black Diamond Pearl. This well taken care of beauty has no extra holes. The snare wires, strainer, and wood hoops are all original with original inlay. The bearing edges are true and original. Original bottom slunk calf skin head, top is a vintage White Eagle Rawhide Mfg. Co. calf skin head. This lovely pre-war drum from the golden era of Leedy drum manufacturing would be a gorgeous addition to your collection. Enjoy!
