For your supreme and elated viewing delight is this rarely seen Corder drum set in White Marine Pearl from  the 1980s. Corder Drum Company was created in 1979 by Jim Corder when he purchased all of the dies and tooling from Fibes Drum Company which is why you'll notice the Fibes hardware. We believe the shells are Jasper, and are quite Gretsch-like. These are phenomenally well made wood shell drums featuring 6-ply or 8-ply construction depending on the shell size. This particular set was configured and made for Corder artist and jazz legend Barrett Deems of Louise Armstrong fame, and  features a 22" bass drum, 13" tom, and two 16" floor toms. It also includes matching 4.5x14 snare and canister throne. There are no extra holes or modifications of any kind, and this set is in wonderfully well cared for condition.

Equally rare and wonderful are Barrett's personal of the era Zildjian A cymbals from the Drugan's Drums & Guitars Family Vault we are including with this historic set. The 20" Zildjian A Medium Ride cymbal weighs in at 2816g. The 14" Zildjian A New Beat Hi-Hats are ink stamped "Special Selection" on the bottom, and weigh in at 888/1330g. Barrett was known to often wright "GOOD" on the bottom of his cymbals that were deemed worthy of his use, as well as "B" for Barrett. Armand Zildjian would hand select cymbals at the factory for his top tier artists that he was personally friends with, as he knew the sound they wanted. For a select few (Buddy, Gene, and Barrett), he would hand stamp their initials into them. The ride and the bottom hat both have "BD" stamped into them, making them just as historically cool and important as the drum set. They are in excellent well cared for condition with no cracks, bends, flea bites, or keyholes.

In summary, this very rare and historically important set and cymbals were owned and stage played by the late great Barrett Deems, as well as being featured in Corder's advertising. Also included is the picture of Barrett playing this set with his band. Seize the moment on this once in a lifetime opportunity to own this significantly astounding historical time capsule. Enjoy!
