For your kind consideration is this Noble & Cooley 6x13 Horizon Series snare drum in red. This early version of the Horizon Series dates to 1993 and has the older badge. It has 6 outer plies of maple and 1 inner ply of mahogany. 5 of the 7 plies have a horizontal grain orientation and the other 2 have a vertical grain orientation for stability. While both bearing edges appear to be original, the batter (top) edge is slightly closer to the lug than the bottom side. It can still tune up to high pitch tuning before bottoming out though, and also does great at medium and lower tuning. These earlier Horizon snares have thinner plies which gives superior resonance. Aside from the heads and wires, it's all original including the die-cast hoops. Most importantly it tunes up beautifully and sounds absolutely fantastic. Enjoy!
