For your premier viewing listening delight is this vintage 13" Zildjian A Transition Stamp hi-hat cymbal pair from the 1940s. They're in fantastic condition with the textbook lathing you can expect from these golden era cymbals. The bottom cymbal in this pair is a Trans Stamp (1946-1953), and the Top Cymbal is a Second Stamp Pre-Trans Stamp (1940-1947). It's quite evident by all indications that these were a factory matched set from when they were transitioning from the 2nd stamp to the trans stamp around 1947 which makes these extra cool and special.
Being thinner cymbals, and as with almost all amazing sounding Trans Stamps, there's a little roughness on the thin edges, and a few minuscule flea bites. No bends or keyholes. They weigh in at a svelte 446g/538g. Quite a lovely sounding and historically important set of hi-hats. Enjoy!
