For your viewing pleasure is this magnificent sounding pair of 13" Zildjian A trans stamp cymbals from the early 1950s in great light weights. The top still retains its rarely seen factory black ink stamp, which reads "EX THIN", and weighs in at 388g. It's in great shape with no cracks, flea bites, or keyhole. Due to the inherent nature of the edges thinness, it is rough in areas, but there are not any flea bites. The bottom hat still retains its rarely seen factory black ink stamp, which reads "PAPER THIN", and weighs in at 458g. It is in great shape with no cracks, flea bites, or keyhole. These cymbals exhibit expert lathing, and exquisite hammering that is just not seen on the grand majority of later Zildjian A cymbals, which makes rare thin trans stamp cymbals in good condition special and so sought after. Most importantly, they sound amazing. Light weight Zildjian As from their golden period of manufacturing are not common, and you just can't buy new cymbals that sound and play like these do. Enjoy!
*Note: like many of these older 40s and early '50s cymbals, they do not always measure out exactly to the inch. As can be seen in the video sound sample, the top hat is slightly smaller than the bottom. This prevents air lock, and they sound amazing like this. Listen for yourself!
