For your prime listening and viewing delight is this extremely rare 18" Paiste Formula 602 Pre-Serial Seven Sound Set No. 5 flanged medium crash / ride cymbal from the '60s. Paiste offered the Seven Sound Set from 1967 to 1977 as a group of special-purpose cymbals for studio drummers chasing unusual sound colors, and it was Joe Morello's challenge to Paiste that inspired the set's famous Flatride. The No. 5 was the set's crash / ride, and it's pronounced flanged edge sets it apart from just about any other vintage Paiste, as well as positively identifies it as a Seven Sound Set . It's in excellent condition and rides with a mellow, bright but subtle tone, then opens up into a wide, complex wash when you crash it. These very rarely come up for sale, and this is the first one to ever pass through our shop. Enjoy!
