18" Paiste 602 Flat Ride Pre Serial Seven Sound Set Ride Cymbal 1510g RARE! #39
Condition: Vintage
For your viewing and listening pleasure is this vintage 18" pre-serial # Paiste Flat Ride cymbal from the rarely seen and extremely sought after Seven Sound Set series made in the 1960s. Roy Haynes famously used a Seven Sound Set 18" flat ride on Chick Corea's celebrated "Now He Sings, Now He Sobs" record. This cymbal exhibits a very fine pin head lathing compared to non-Seven Sound Set Paiste flat rides, and Paiste's of the era in general. It is extremely dry, and you can really get after it frantically without it washing out any nuances of your playing, or the instrumentation around you. It is a unique and fantastically musical time keeping instrument that has no equal. In all of our years of buying, selling, trading, and collecting, this is the only Seven Sound Set flat ride we have ever encountered. Although much of the "Seven Sound Set" ink has been wiped off, you can still clearly see where it was by viewing it at certain angles under good lighting, we guarantee this. This cymbal is in very well cared for condition, with no cracks, bends, warping, flea bites or keyhole. If you've been waiting for a nice one of these special cymbals to add to your sound arsenal, you may be waiting for a quite a while before you have another opportunity to grab one. Enjoy!
