For your prime listening and viewing pleasure is this very cool vintage 19" Alejian ride cymbal, made by Zildjian for Slingerland. Alejian were made as an alternative to Avedis Zildjian branded cymbals and were offered in the Slingerland catalog from the late 1930s all the way until 1968 when they moved to Canada. All of the characteristics of this cymbal put it's production some time in the 1940s. It has the beautiful hammering and lathing characteristic of Zildjian Trans Stamp cymbals of the era.
This one is in great condition overall with a strong patina. No cracks, bends, or flea bites, just some slight edge roughness as you run your finger along the edge. The hole shows the very beginnings of a keyhole forming but is in good condition. Weighs in at a svelte 1490 grams. A very cool sounding piece of cymbal history that's really fun to play. Enjoy!
