For your supreme viewing pleasure is this great sounding 1920s 4x14 Ludwig 8 lug Universal Dance Model nickel over brass snare drum made with the same coveted heavy 2 piece brass shell that the Black Beauties of the 1920s were made with.
It is in fantastic overall condition for a drum that is a century old. The nickel presents beautiful and clean with some typical very light wear. The original tension rods and clips look great and are fully functional with no cracks in any of the clips. The shell is in round, with only a few tiny dings. There is no muffler installed. The original P338 strainer functions well. The drum has been outfitted with modern drum heads and corect size and strand snare wires that all fit perfectly.
The drum tunes up easily and sounds excellent! Enjoy the legendary sound of a Ludwig heavy 2 piece shell at a fraction of the price that a same era black beauty would run! This drum would be right at home in any cool collection, or studio, and is great for gigging and recording with. Enjoy!
