For your kind consideration is this vintage Slingerland 7x14 Hollywood Ace Swing Model solid maple shell snare drum from the mid-40s. This player's grade drum is sporting half of its original Aluminum & Maroon Chicago Cloud badge. It looks to have had the original wrap removed and refinished in Mahogany. Small crash in shell, shown in pics. The Radio King strainer was replaced with a 60s Rogers Swiv-O-Matic requiring two extra holes and it has replacement steel hoops, and the muffler was removed. The hardware has aging as shown. The bearing edges are original and true. This drum tunes up well with a range of tones. Tuned low for a tremendous fat back beat, or tune high for a gorgeous woody ringing crack, and anywhere in between. It's tough to beat the classic magnificence that these old growth single ply Slingerland masterpieces embody so this one is a great opportunity to get all that tone at a fraction of the price. Enjoy!
