For your viewing pleasure is this wonderful sounding 7x14 Slingerland Radio King snare drum in white marine pearl built in 1945-46. The war time aluminum badge looks great and is nice and tight. With exception of the heads, it is 100% original including the wires and tension rods. The wrap shows signs of age including some light surface splits which can be seen in the pics. The three point strainer works perfectly, as does the dual point muffler. The hoops are in good shape and have not been bent. The bearing edges are true and original. Modern Remo heads fit and are currently installed. This drum tunes up fantastically, and with the greatest of ease. Tuned low for a tremendous fat back beat, or high for a gorgeous woody ringing crack and anywhere in between, it's tough to beat the classic magnificence that these old growth single ply Slingerland masterpieces embody. This drum would be a perfect addition to any working professional's or recording studio's snare drum arsenal. Enjoy!
