For your extreme viewing pleasure is this rare and very seldom seen vintage Ampeg Model 825 Bassamp from early 1957. There are very few examples still in operation today. It is in fantastic condition and sounds amazing with a very rich and uniquely well balanced sound. This is an early 1957 model that has the black tolex, grill cloth with the divider in the middle, and the logo in the bottom right corner (they switched to a gray tolex in late '57). The Jensen P15N Alnico 5 15" speaker sounds fabulous and full, with a code of 220712. Recently serviced by one of Chicago's top amp techs who replaced all filter and cathode bypass capacitors, a faulty plate resistor, the octal socket wire harness between the amp and preamp, cleaned all controls, replaced speaker wiring, cleaned and tensioned the tube sockets, changed the power cord to a 3-prong, and cleaned the amp inside and out. This amp has a replaced back panel that is cosmetically correct. It was professionally made and installed by Beaver Bottoms and uses the original screw holes. This is a tremendously nice sounding amp that would be a wonderful addition to any fine recording studio or collection. Enjoy!
