For your kind consideration is this vintage Leedy & Ludwig No. 7563 High Hat Sock Pedal hi-hat stand from the early 1950s. Leedy first introduced this iteration of the 7563 Highboy sock stand with the upper tubing being in two sections in their 1949 catalog and Ludwig released a similarly design adjustable height model that same year as the WFL No. 1120. The two companies briefly merged in the early 50s and combined their designs. This one with "Leedy & Ludwig" on the cast aluminum footboard is in excellent condition with minimal aging to the nickel plating and some normal tightening marks on the pull rod. These lightweight stands were made for the gigging drummer, weighing in at less than 5 lbs and knocking down to 4 compact parts. The original friction clutch is in great condition as well. These stands are rare to come across in this condition. Due to their uncommon nature and limited info in the vintage catalogs, we can't confirm if the plastic top on the upper tube is original, but it is definitely great for keeping the rod in alignment. This fully functional stand has decades of gigs left in it and would look amazing with your vintage Leedy or Ludwig set. Enjoy!
