For your prime viewing pleasure is this rare Silvertone 6887 archtop guitar acoustic from the early to mid 1950s. The guitar is in great condition overall with normal wear and some dings and paint chips here and there. It plays great with a slightly higher action that's still comfortable. This model first appeared in the 1951 Sears catalogs. It's a 25-3/4" scale guitar that features a spruce top with 3-ply laminated maple back and sides. The neck is mahogany with a rosewood fingerboard with a 1-5/8" nut width. The original pickguard has been removed and the tailpiece was replaced leaving two additional holes. A strap button hole on the heel of the neck was also filled. The guitar is comfortable to play and the strings ring out clearly across the board. If you've been looking for a vibey '50s archtop acoustic guitar, this one is great option at an atractive price. Gig bag included. Enjoy!
