For your premier viewing pleasure is this rare Silvertone H1324 electric archtop guitar made by Harmony in the 1950s. The guitar is in great well cared for condition with normal signs of use and it plays wonderfully. This model first appeared in the 1956 Sears catalogs. It's a 25" scale guitar that features a spruce top with mahogany back and sides. The neck is mahogany with a rosewood fingerboard with a 1-3/4" nut width. The original pickup works great and has a lovely mellow tone. The original volume and tone controls have a slight scratchiness when turned due to their age which can be worked out with some use and/or a spritz of deoxit. The original tortoise shell pickguard and white knobs are intact as well. The woods have all aged well to give this guitar the beautifully opened up vintage tone when unplugged that you'd expect from an early Silvertone/Harmony arch top. The thicker, wider neck is comfortable to play and the strings ring out clearly across the board. It comes with the original chipboard case. If you've been looking for a rare, vibey '50s archtop electric guitar, this one is sure to please. Enjoy!
