For your viewing pleasure is this vintage WFL 5.5x14 Buddy Rich Model Super Classic snare drum from the 1950s. The wrap looks great with no scratches, splitting or scuffs. The original P-87 Classic strainer is a nice specimen that operates smoothly. The original butt plate is intact with a bit of oxidation and flaking. There are two extra holes above the butt plate that have been filled. Both of the heads have been changed to modern Remo heads. This drum retains the original Ludwig snare wires, and they still sound great! The chrome over brass hoops are very nice with minimal wear. There are two extra holes near the butt plate, otherwise the shell is in fantastic shape with the edges being original and true. This drum tunes up easily and sounds incredible. It would be right at home amongst the finest of collections, studios, and stages. Enjoy!
