For your extreme viewing pleasure is this breathtaking vintage Leedy 6.5x14 No. 400 Broadway snare drum from 1955. The drum is in phenomenal condition and is all original with exception of newer heads. The gold sparkle wrap has a fire in a way few other sparkle finishes ever did. The badge is nice and tight, and there is an internal date stamp of 5501 (January 1955), which is the year Conn ended production of Leedy & Ludwig drums. There are no extra holes or modifications. This drum is unique in that it has a factory installed Pioneer strainer. Typically during this time, it would have had what was known as the Broadway Extension Snare Strainer", so this very well may have been a special order drum. At any rate, it is amazingly cool! It displays wonderfully and would be equally at home amongst the finest of collections, studios, or stages. It tunes up like a champ and sounds luscious! Enjoy!
