For your supreme viewing pleasure is this very rare vintage Ludwig 4x13 Las Vegas model snare drum in Black Diamond Pearl from the late 50s. Not to be confused with the more commonly seen 3x13 Jazz Comb snares, these guys had an extra 1" of depth and were only around for a very short time, making only one catalog appearance in 1960 and gone by time their next catalog came out in '62. It's all original down to the Playon Plastic heads and wires and is in excellent condition. The transition era Keystone badge is nice and tight and dates this to 1958-60 when this model first appeared in the catalog. The original chrome over brass hoops look great with light signs of age and two small dents/bends in the top hoop as shown that do not affect the tuning or sound in any way. It's sporting the original butt plate and throw-off. There are no extra holes or modifications. Most importantly, this fine instrument tunes up with the greatest of ease and sounds beyond fantastic. This drum would equally be at home amongst the finest of collections, studios, or stages. Enjoy!
