For your supreme viewing delight is this epic Ludwig 5x14 No. 400 "Super 400" Superphonic snare drum featuring the 1958-1960 transitional Keystone "trans" badge. The heavy brass shell has the crimped snare bed, visible vertical seam, small knob rotary muffler, and chrome over brass hoops. There are some very light surface marks, and a few small dings on the otherwise excellent condition exterior. The early heavy Imperial lug casings look great with only light signs of age. One lug is from the later '60s so two of the internal cup washers are slightly different than the others, but they are clean vintage Ludwig parts from the '60s. The original script logo P-83 throw-off operates smoothly with original Ludwig wires. This drum has a Ludwig WeatherMaster snare side head and a coated Remo Emperor on top. No extra holes or modifications of any kind. If you've been looking for a truly excellent Trans Badge era Supra, you'd be hard pressed to find one much nicer than this. This beauty would be right at home amongst the finest of collections, studios, or stages. Enjoy!
