For your prime viewing pleasure is this rare, vintage 1958 Gretsch 5.5x14 No. 4157 Name Band snare drum in original limited run 75th Anniversary Sparkle wrap. It's all original aside from the bottom head and has the very rarely seen diamond jubilee anniversary badge. The original Micro-Sensitive throw-off with 5381 adjustable snare bracket functions smoothly with original Gretsch Responso wires. The original muffler also functions properly. The round badge is tight and looks great with a beautiful patina. The interior of the early 6 ply shell is in excellent condition with clean original silver sealer paint. All of the chrome is in good condition with some wear and micro pitting on the die cast hoops as shown. The bearing edges are true and original and the drum tunes up well and exudes that Great Gretsch Sound we all love so much! This would be a fantastic addition to any fine vintage collection or recording studio. Enjoy!
