For your supreme viewing pleasure is this very rare vintage Ludwig 4x13 Las Vegas model Trans badge snare drum in Blue Sparkle. Not to be confused with the more commonly seen 3x13 Jazz Comb snares, these guys had an extra 1" of depth and were only around for a very short time, with only one catalog appearance in 1960 and gone by time their next catalog came out in '62. This one has an internal date stamp of MAR 17 1959. It's all original down to the Playon Plastic head and wires and is in excellent condition. The transition era Keystone badge is nice and tight. The original chrome over brass hoops look great with minimal signs of wear here and there and it's still sporting the original butt plate and throw-off. There are no extra holes or modifications, and most importantly, this fine instrument tunes up with the greatest of ease and sounds beyond fantastic. This drum would equally be at home amongst the finest of collections, studios, or stages. Enjoy!
