For your prime viewing entertainment is this vintage Ludwig 3x13 Be-Bop snare drum in majestic White Marine Pearl from early 1959. It's in fantastic well taken care of condition and is all original down to the heads and wires. This one is sporting a Transition badge and has an internal date stamp of JAN 21 1959. The actual depth measures to 3.5" which will give it a tone between the later Jazz Combo and Las Vegas models that appeared in the 1960 catalog. There are no extra holes or modifications. The original chrome over brass hoops look great with on dent in the edge of top hoop as shown, and a very small bend in the along the edge of the bottom hoop that can be felt more than seen, they are merely cosmetic in nature and neither affect the tuning in any way. The throw-off operates smoothly. Most importantly, this drum tunes up with the greatest of ease and sounds simply amazing. It would equally be at home amongst the finest of collections, studios, or stages. Enjoy!
