For your viewing pleasure is this excellent example of a 1960-61 5"x14" Ludwig Super 400 chrome over brass Supraphonic snare drum. It features a pre-serial # Keystone badge, clean chrome-over-brass hoops (bottom hoop has an ever-so-slight cosmetic bend in the thin area of the gate hole which is not visually noticeable unless viewed upside down), small knob muffler, crimped snare bed, heavy brass shell, visible vertical seam in shell, original Ludwig wires, nice P-83 strainer & butt & earlier heavy imperial lugs. The lugs have some light pitting, & there are a few small surface scratches here & there in the shell, but it displays wonderfully overall. This drum still has the original Ludwig Weathermaster heads on both sides & is 100% original in every way. It is a special instrument & is pure sonic bliss to play! Enjoy!
