For your viewing pleasure is this 5"x14" Ludwig transition badge Jazz Festival snare drum in gorgeous white marine pearl. The blue & brass transition badge was only used by Ludwig for a very short time during 1959 & 1960, & is considered by many to be a truly golden era of Ludwig's drum building history. There is an internal date stamp which reads "OCT 27 1960" in black ink. This drum is 100% original, down to the wires & heads & has been meticulously cared for throughout the years. The white marine pearl wrap shows radiantly & is in wonderful condition with a flat seam & no splits, scratches, puckering or scrapes. There are no extra holes or modifications of any kind. The original early P-83 strainer is beautiful & operates smoothly. The tone control looks great & is fully functional. The hoops are the original prized chrome over brass hoops. The bearing edges are true & original. This drum is ready for the finest of studios, stages or collections. Enjoy!
