The wrap is in beautiful condition with glimmering opalescent flakes glimmering with lots of iridescent pink and purple in the light. This drum is all original down to the heads & wires. It is built with Slingerland's legendary single ply solid shell and the interior is beautifully clean. The internal date stamp is a bit smudged but reads JUN 1 1959. There are no extra holes or modifications of any kind. The Radio King strainer operates smoothly, as does the double padded 1080 tone control. It tunes up wonderfully and has the heavenly sonic signature that can only be realized with a vintage, old growth, solid maple Slingerland shell that has seasoned for 66+ years.
