For your viewing pleasure is this attractive 1960's Gretsch Renown snare drum in stunning original silver glass glitter. This 8 lug snare drum is all original with exception of a Remo snare side replacement head (the top head is the original Gretsch Permatone head which still tunes up and sounds great) and replacement wires. There are no extra holes or modifications. The edges are true and original. This drum does not have a paper tag and probably never did, as you would usually see where it used to be if it fell off and there is no trace of one. This is not unusual for Gretsch drums of this era. Some came from the factory with no tags. There is some pitting in the chrome, and the top part of the strainer handle has some rust. The strainer and the muffler both function. The wrap is in nice shape with no splits. Most importantly, this drum tunes up well and sounds great. Enjoy!
