For your kind consideration is this vintage Kay K64 A-Style mandolin in sunburst from the mid-60s. It's in excellent condition with normal signs of age and a few well earned dings here and there. It has an internal stamp of L4487 464, which does not give any insight to the year, but does lend to the model number. The K64 last appeared in the 1965 catalog before the headstock was changed on the K464 in the 1966 catalog. It features laminated maple body with white binding and an adjustable bridge and Kluson Deluxe tuners. The classic A-style body projects a warm resonant tone you only get after the wood has cured for decades. It tunes up well with a fresh set of Martin 80/20 Light strings. This mandolin is a joy to play and is ready for many more decades of music making. Enjoy!
