For your prime viewing pleasure is this beautiful vintage 5x14 Ludwig Supraphonic 400 chrome over aluminum snare drum from the late 1960s. This drum is in very good condition, with some small isolated scratches on the shell.
This drum is all original. It's in excellent well cared for condition because it was stored for years in a case by the original owner. This is one of the earliest examples to have the newly released 1st gen. P-85 strainer. It operates smoothly, as does the original round felt muffler. The 10 original Imperial lugs are in great condition. It has a recently installed lightly played Remo Emperor X Coated head on top and a like-new Remo Ambassador snare side head on bottom. The keystone badge is nice and tight with serial # 747XXX and an internal date stamp of SEP 16 1969.
Most importantly, this snare tunes up like a champ and sounds absolutely terrific with all the crisp, clear projection one would expect from a '60s Supra. Enjoy!
