For your viewing pleasure is this vintage Ludwig 6.5x14 chrome over brass Super 402 Supraphonic snare drum from the early 1960s. These heavy brass shelled Supraphonics are harder to come by and sound amazing. The pre-serial # keystone badge is nice and tight. At one point, the throw-off was replaced and 1 extra hole was drilled just above the top original hole. The drum now has the correct original P83 throw-off installed. Otherwise, the shell is in great condition with some typical play-wear.a few marks. The original Ludwig wires look fantastic. Both hoops are the correct brass hoops, the top hoop has some chrome loss. Most importantly, it tunes up like a champ and sounds incredible. This drum would be right at home amongst any studio, collection, or stage. Enjoy!
