For your viewing pleasure is this lovely vintage Ludwig 5x14 Jazz Festival snare drum in Sky Blue Pearl from 1963. It's in great condition and this stunner is 100% original aside from the heads. The original Ludwig wires look and sound great. The original P-83 strainer has some wear as shown, is fully functional and operate smoothly as does the red felt baseball bat muffler. The Sky Blue Pearl wrap is in great well taken care of condition, and the colors show beautifully. There are no extra holes or modifications of any kind. It has an internal date stamp of OCT 15 1963 and the pre-serial keystone badge is nice and tight. All of the chrome is in great condition with light signs of aging on the chrome over brass hoops. The bearing edges are true and original, and the drum tunes up easily and sounds magnificent. These snares are a joy to own and play.
