For your supreme viewing pleasure is this vintage Slingerland No. 143 5.5x14 Gene Krupa solid shell Radio King snare drum in Black Diamond Pearl from the early 1960s. Aside from the heads, this beauty is all original down to the snare wires. The pre-serial Black & Brass Niles badge is nice and tight and in excellent condition. The 3-point Radio King strainer operates smoothly, as does the tone control. The original lugs and chrome over brass Rim Shot stick saver hoops are in great condition. There are no extra holes or modifications of any kind. It tunes up wonderfully and has the heavenly sonic signature that can only be realized with a vintage Slingerland old growth solid maple shell snare drum that has seasoned for well over 60 years. This drum is a delight to play and would be right at home amongst the finest of collections, studios, or stages. Enjoy!
