For your kind consideration is this vintage Slingerland 5.5x14 Hollywood Ace snare drum in White Marine Pearl from the 1960s. It's in excellent condition and all original down to the Slingerland calf batter head and Weather-All resonant head as cataloged. The interior of this 3-ply shell is very clean with some cosmetic separation on the inner ply as shown. It has an internal date stamp of SEP 63 and the bearing edges look great. The wrap has virtually no scratches and the seam lays flat. The original chrome over brass stick saver hoops are in great condition with a few spots of surface scratches as shown, no pitting, and great looking lugs as well. The Rapid strainer operates smoothly with the original wires. A cool and unique feature of this drum was that it was ordered from the factory without an internal tone control. There are no extra holes or modifications. Most importantly, it tunes up with the greatest of ease and sounds fantastic. This would be a great addition to any collection. Enjoy.
