For your prime viewing pleasure is this beautiful vintage 5x14 Ludwig Supraphonic 400 snare drum from 1965. This drum is in excellent well cared for condition, with very minimal pitting on the lugs and extremely minimal wear on the shell. It is all original aside from the top head which is a newer coated Ludwig head that still has tons of life left in it. The P-83 strainer operates smoothly, as does the original white felt baseball bat muffler. The original steel hoops are clean with an extremely tiny cosmetic bend on the edge of the top hoop which does not affect the tuning in any way and almost isn't even worth mentioning. The keystone badge is nice and tight with serial # 256XXX and an internal date stamp of JUN 4 1965. Most importantly, this snare tunes up like a champ and sounds terrific with all the crisp, clear projection one would expect from a '60s Supra. No serious drummer's snare drum collection is complete without a vintage Supraphonic. Isn't it time to see why? Enjoy!
