For your prime viewing pleasure is this gorgeous vintage Ludwig 4x14 Downbeat snare drum in juicy Red Sparkle. It's in excellent condition and is all original aside from the batter head. As is commonly seen on snares of this era, it has the original chrome over steel batter hoop and a chrome over brass snare side hoop, both of which are in great condition with light aging and signs of polishing. The small P-84 Pioneer strainer is in great condition and fully functional, as is the white felt baseball bat muffler. It has an internal date stamp of JUL 2 1965 on the clean, white interior and the Keystone badge is nice and tight with serial number 172XXX. There are no extra holes or modifications, and the bearing edges are true and original. Most importantly, this fine instrument tunes up with the greatest of ease and sounds simply amazing. This drum would equally be at home amongst the finest of collections, studios, or stages. Enjoy!
