For your kind consideration is this stunning Ludwig 5x14 Jazz Festival snare drum in scarcely seen vibrant Burgundy Sparkle. With exception of Remo heads, this beauty is 100% original and has an internal date stamp of OCT 31 1966, making this one tasty Halloween treat indeed! The original Ludwig wires look and sound great. The original P-83 strainer and baseball bat muffler are in great shape and both operate smoothly. The Burgundy Sparkle wrap is in beautiful well taken care of condition and the vibrant color is still nice and dark. There are no extra holes or modifications of any kind. The keystone badge is nice and tight, with serial # 427XXX. All of the chrome is in good condition with a little oxidation on the hoops. The bearing edges are true and original, and the drum tunes up easily and sounds magnificent. These snares are a joy to own and play. If you've been looking for this snare to complete your set, you'd be very hard pressed to find a nicer original example.
