For your supreme viewing pleasure is this excellent 1966 Ludwig Down Beat "Ringo" drum set in original Oyster Black Pearl. It has been well cared for, and is a truly beautiful set. There are no extra holes, and the bearing edges are original and true. There is a small professional wrap repair on the floor tom done with a fantastic matching piece of original wrap that is difficult to notice unless you know to look for it. There was never a hole there, just a wrap imperfection that was fixed. One of the reinforcement hoops on the bass drum was professionally re-glued where it joins, and was touched up with some close matching interior paint in just that area (see pic of finger pointing). The bass drum has keystone serial # 383XXX with an internal date stamp of DEC 31 1966. The floor tom has a keystone serial # 400XXX. The 12" tom has a keystone serial # 399XXX. All of the drums have original tension rods and washers. Most importantly, this set tunes up wonderfully and is an absolute pleasure to play. This is a fantastic Oyster Black Pearl Down Beat outfit in beautiful condition. Enjoy!
