For your prime viewing pleasure is this beautiful vintage 5x14 Ludwig Supraphonic 400 snare drum from the late 1960s. This drum is in excellent condition, with none of the pitting or flaking often seen on the aluminum shell. It is all original aside from the heads and has been well cared for with only the lightest signs of age and wear including polishing marks on the hoops and a couple light scratches in one spot on the top hoop. The P-83 strainer operates smoothly, as does the original white felt baseball bat muffler. The original 10 Imperial lugs are in great condition with minimal signs of age. The keystone badge is nice and tight with serial # 574XXX and an internal date stamp of JAN 15 1968. Most importantly, this snare tunes up like a champ and sounds terrific with all the crisp, clear projection one would expect from a '60s Supra. Why pay over $649 for a new Supraphonic when you can get this clean fantastic sounding vintage example for less? Enjoy!
