1979 Ludwig Concert Tom Drum Set Gold Silk 24/13/14/15/18

For your kind consideration is this vintage Ludwig Concert Tom Drum Set in Gold Silk. These 6-ply drums are in great condition overall and sound incredible. The hardware is all original including the double Clip-Lok tom holder and No. 1356 Clip-Lok double tom stand. They even sport their original Ludwig Rocker Silver Dot Heavy drum heads. This is from the late '70s/early 80s period when Ludwig used rivets on the seams in an attempt to prevent the wrap seams from shrinking due to a new glue they were using. While that idea wasn't as successful as Ludwig hoped and the wraps did still shrink, they have stayed in place much better on these than on many other examples of this era. You can see some splits in the wrap and spots where it has lifted in the photos. Most of the rivets have come off though, thankfully the wrap is stable. The metal band is missing from the bottom of the 13" drum. This is a mega cool piece of 80s Ludwig history in a rarely seen color that's a ton of fun to play and look at.
