For your supreme viewing pleasure is this vintage Ludwig Standard 5x14 snare drum in Blue Strata. And wowzers, what a special batch of Blue Strata it is! Just look at those colors! We've had a fortunate amount of Ludwigs in this finish, and none have been this beautiful. This 8-lug beauty has the same exact 3-ply shell and construction as a Jazz Fest, with the only difference being the badge and lightweight / lower mass lugs, which many attribute to improved resonance and tone. It's in excellent condition and all original aside from the batter head. The P-83 strainer and muffler both work smoothly and it has the original plastic end wires. There is some light aging on the hoops and they are in-round. There are no extra holes or modifications, and the bearing edges are true and original. The Granitone interior is clean. Most importantly, this drum tunes up with the greatest of ease and sounds fantastic. Enjoy!
