For your viewing pleasure is this vintage Slingerland 6.5x14 Super Sound King snare drum from the '70s. These drums get our vote for being the most underrated power house vintage snare drums on the planet. The amazing heavy chrome over brass shells have a wonderfully warm yet commanding sonic signature. The chrome on this drum is in fantastic condition with only a few light surface scratches and no pitting. The Dual Super Snare Strainer functions well and looks great, it is missing the guard on butt side side. This 10-lug drum is 100% original aside from the heads. The original tone control looks great and is fully functional. The oval Black & Silver Niles badge with serial number 80149 is nice and tight, and dates this between 1970 to 1972. There are no extra holes or modifications. Most importantly, this drum tunes up perfectly and sounds fantastic. It would be equally at home amongst the finest of collections, studios, or stages. Enjoy!
