For your kind consideration is this vintage Yamaha 8x14 Recording Custom snare drum in Piano Black from the 1980s. This awesome model SD-980 snare was built in March 1981 based on the serial number.
It's in excellent condition overall with only minimal signs of wear and aging, including micro pitting on the 10-lugs and some wear on the original die cast Power Hoops as shown. The piano black lacquer has only slight signs of wear upon close inspection, but it presents very clean. The original strainer and adjustable butt are fully functional with original wires installed.
The bearing edges on this all-birch shell are in great condition and it tunes up with ease. There are no extra holes or modifications. An awesome sounding mid-80s Recording Custom snare at a great. Enjoy!
