20" 1959 Zidljian Istanbul K Hand Hammered Turkish Ride Cymbal Intermediate Stamp 1740g
Condition: Vintage
For your viewing and listening pleasure is this wonderful and rare vintage 20" Zildjian K Istanbul Intermediate stamp (1959-67) ride cymbal. This cymbal, like most old Ks, is slightly under-sized at 19.75", and weighs in at an extremely svelte and sought after holy grail weight of 1740g. This cymbal comes from the personal collection of internationally acclaimed jazz drummer, George Fludas, and is quite simply one of the most exquisite and buttery 20" old Ks we have ever laid stick to. It is extremely responsive to the most subtle of nuances in your touch, yet maintains an authoritative woody stick click which majestically coasts atop a luscious, mysterious cascading wash. The bell is extremely complex and musical, and is everything one could want from a vintage 20" K bell. Cosmetically, the cymbal is in collectors condition, with no cracks, no bends, no warping, no flea bites, and nice hole. The factory signature is still available on the bottom of the bell, as well as a very rarely seen factory ink stamp on the bottom close to the edge that reads "ISTANBUL THE ORIGINAL AND ONLY AUTHENTIC TURKISH CYMBAL".
This special investment grade, heirloom quality instrument would be right at home amongst the finest of collections, studios, and stages. Enjoy!
