For your intense viewing and listening delight is this vintage 22" Zildjian A Trans Stamp ride cymbal. This gorgeous and rare example of the highly sought after 1940s-early '50s Trans Stamp exhibits text book hand hammering and gorgeous lathing from Zildjian's golden era of manufacturing. This masterpiece has garnered a well earned patina that still shines, and exhibits K-like sound qualities. It speaks a little trash like an old K, but with a very sweet and deep crash and wash to it and a very musical bell tone. Due to the thinner edges, it plays lighter than its weight might suggest at 2980 grams, but has the more defined stick click that comes in useful when playing at volumes in excess of typical lighter trio work. While this cymbal is in excellent condition showing better than most Trans Stamps we've come across, it has one miniscule flea bite that is so small it's almost not worth mentioning (see pic), and a spot of edge bend. There are no cracks or keyhole. Stellar sounding 22" Trans Stamps in this weight are exceedingly rare, and are considerably more budget friendly than old Ks of the same era. This one is a joy to play and would be suitable for many styles. Enjoy!
