This well taken care guitar is in spectacular condition with very little play time on it and has the most minimal signs of use, mostly just some faint polishing swirl. These guitars are hand built works of art made in Japan by master luthier Kazuo Yairi. They have been tough to come by, especially this cutaway version. This guitar sounds and plays great with the distance at the 12th fret measuring .1135 inches or 2.88 mm. The electronics all work properly as well. Handcrafted in a traditional Japanese mountain village workshop under the personal guidance of master luthier Kazuo Yairi, Alvarez Yairi guitars are made with extremely choice tone woods. The exotic laminated side and back woods and fine-grained solid spruce tops are naturally air dried and sculpted with individually hand-shaped bracing and dovetail neck joints. Yairi's brilliant design innovations include an extended neck tenon for a wider range of rod adjustment and no neck/body irregularities. A unique coupled bridge design removes the forward pull from the bridge itself for greater stability and lighter bracing leading to freer tone.
