For your viewing pleasure is this beautiful artisan built 6.5x14 stave shell snare drum. It's in well cared for condition and sounds fantastic! Stave shells use much less glue compared to ply shells, allowing the wood’s natural tone to more easily come through and hold their shape over time. Stave drums typically have shorter sustain and a more focused, articulate sound compared to ply drums. It has a full, balanced tone and features die cast hoops, 10 gorgeous chrome tube lugs, and 45 degree bearing edge with a 45 degree counter-cut. It appears to be made from either black walnut or rosewood, but we cannot confirm with certainty. Most importantly it tunes up with the greatest of ease and sounds unbelievable. Enjoy!
