For your prime viewing delight is this vintage Ludwig 5x14 Supraphonic snare drum dating from late 1969 - early '70s. This is a brass shell, (not aluminum), and it features a "B" stamp behind the muffler knob which denotes a brass shell, and rare pointy Blue & Olive cut badge, which they did early on for the metal snare shells leftover from the 1960s because the badge wouldn't fit the earlier lower grommet hole placement of the keystone era. It's all original down to the heads and wires and is in excellent condition with just a few very light surface marks here and there. There are no extra holes or modifications. The original steel hoops have minimal signs of age and the 10 Imperial lugs have also aged well. The original 1st generation P-85 strainer operates smoothly, as does the muffler. Most importantly, this drum tunes up like an absolute champ and sounds amazing. This drum would be right at home amongst the finest of collections, studios, or stages. Enjoy!
